Troy Police responded to a reported robbery at Super Eight Motel Saturday afternoon at approximately 3:15 PM according to information released by Chief Anthony Everage. After a foot chase down McNeil St., the suspect was arrested in the vicinity of Walgreens Pharmacy near Alabama Highway 87 and is identified as a black male Michael Corey Thomas 22- years-old from Enterprise, AL. Thomas has been charged with robbery third degree and his bond has been set at $10,000.00 and he has been transferred to the Pike County Jail. He had an outstanding warrant from Coffee County for Receiving Stolen Property. In unrelated incident, at approximately 8:00 PM Sunday night January 24 a white male entered the Stop & Go at the corner of South Brundidge Street and University Avenue and walked behind the counter and produced a screwdriver and demanded the clerk to open the register. Approximately $400.00 was taken by the suspect during this incident. He left the store and got in the passenger side of a red vehicle driven by an unknown driver and left the parking lot on University Avenue headed toward the University campus. The suspect's physical description is: a white male approx. 40-45 YOA, 5'10"-5'11" tall and weighing approximately 175-185 pounds. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, green plaid jacket, gray hooded sweatshirt, and a black knit cap/mask.
