Attempted Burglary Arrest

Troy Police arrested Jody Griswold a 23 year-old white male from Montgomery for attempted burglary, possession of burglary tools and assault Saturday night at approximately 11:45 p.m. according to information released by Chief Anthony Everage.

Griswold was spotted by a TPD patrol officer behind the Discount Tobacco Outlet while performing routine building check. The officer noticed that the suspect was tampering with the air conditioner unit in the rear of the business.

The suspect ran from the officer and was taken into custody a short distance from the scene.

Griswold has been charged with the above charges along with outstanding warrants for theft of property 3rd and contempt of court. His bond has been set at $4,500.00.

Chief Everage commends the officer in his observation of the suspect and his quick reaction that led to Griswold's arrest in this case.
