The railroad crossing at Gibbs Street and US Highway 29 (North Three Notch Street) will be closed Monday April 7th and Tuesday April 8th for repairs by CSX Railroad.

The construction is scheduled to begin at approximately 6:00 am Tuesday and will probably last through Tuesday.

School traffic should plan to use an alternate route and avoid using the crossing at US 29 and Gibbs Street. This will also affect vehicular traffic traveling on Gibbs Street for those residents in this area and use Gibbs Street as an access to work or other areas. Students that walk or ride bicycles to school will also be affected and should use an alternate route and avoid the railroad crossing at Gibbs Street.
