Armed Robery/Burglary

Troy Police responded to a reported armed robbery, burglary and the theft of a motor vehicle Wednesday night at approximately 10:30 PM at a mobile home at Suntrace Mobile Home Park on US Highway 231 south of Troy according to information released by Chief Jimmy Ennis. 


Multiple unknown black males entered the occupied mobile home and confronted the two residents and stole property belonging to the victims.  The suspects were armed with weapons during the crime. One of the victims was transported to the hospital for injuries received.  The injuries were not life threatening. 


The suspects fled the scene on the victims Gray 2000 Chevrolet Impala.  Direction of travel is unknown. The vehicle did have the word “Sagitario” on the window.


An undisclosed amount of currency and personal property was taken from the victims.  The property stolen is described as hand tools, necklaces, laptop computer, television and the vehicle. All suspects were wearing red and black clothing with red gloves and masks.

 TPD Detectives continue to follow-up on leads developed during the investigation.  Police would not comment on the specific details of the investigation because the case is still under investigation by TPD.

Chief Ennis asks anyone who was in the vicinity of Suntrace Mobile Home Park Wednesday night at approximately 10:00 PM and may have information in connection with this incident is urged to contact the Troy Police Department at 566-0500 or the Secret Witness Line at 566-5555. 


TPD recovered the stolen vehicle in this case today at approximately 4:00 pm on US HWY 29 N near Banks, AL.  Troy Police continue to investigate this case.
