Rape x 2 and Burglary

Troy Police arrested Andre Lamon Ellis, a 35- year-old black male in connection with the rapes that occurred at Hunter’s Mountain Mobile Home Park in Troy on March 26th according to information released by Chief Jimmy Ennis.

Troy Police detectives followed up on information developed in this case that lead TPD detectives in obtaining warrants for Ellis’ arrest. He was taken into custody at approximately 9:30 pm Wednesday on the 200 block of US HWY 231.

Ellis has been charged with two counts of rape first degree and one count of burglary second degree.  His bond has been set at $200,000.00 in each rape charge and $50,000.00 in the burglary charge.  He was also arrested on failure to appear in court in connection with a theft case.  He has no bond in connection with that charge.

This case remains under investigation by the Troy Police Department.  The 12thJudicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office assisted TPD.
