Rape 1st Degree Arrest / Robbery 1st Degree Arrest

Troy Police arrested John Henry Foster, a 50- year- old black male, Thursday June the 3rd for rape 1st degree and the unauthorized use of a vehicle by force according to information released by Chief Anthony Everage.

The victim reported the incidents to Troy Police on Tuesday June 1st and alleged they occurred on May 29th. The case remains under investigation by TPD.

Foster was transferred to the Pike County Jail and his total bond set at $120,000.00.




In an unrelated incident, Troy Police arrested a 17- year-old black male for robbery 1st degree and giving false identification to a law enforcement officer on Monday June 7th according to Chief Everage.

On May 30 at approximately 9:45 PM Tyre James Gay from Grady, Alabama and two unknown black male suspects allegedly confronted the victim at the victim's residence on Walters Drive in Troy and demanded money while armed with a gun. An undisclosed amount of money was taken in the robbery.

TPD detectives continue to follow-up on leads on the identities of the other suspectss involved in this case. Anyone with information about this robbery is asked to contact the Troy Police at 566-0500 or the Secret Witness Line at 566-5555.

A warrant for Gay's arrest was obtained by TPD detectives on June 1st. Gay was transported to the Troy Police Department and later transferred to the Pike County Jail with a $30,000.00 bond.
