Strong Armed Robbery

Troy police responded to a reported strong armed robbery on Vine Street near Willow Street between 2:00 and 2:30 pm Wednesday according to information released by Chief Anthony Everage.

The Hispanic victim advised he was riding with a black male and black female in small 2-door car when they stopped on a street later be determined as Vine Street near the Carroll Street cemetery.

The black male demanded money from the victim. The victim refused to give the perpetrator his money and was assaulted by the suspect. The victim also reported that suspect took an undisclosed amount of money and his wallet.

The victim described the black male suspect with a slender build in his mid twenties. The black female was described as heavy built with a tattoo on her neck.

The victim was transported to Troy Regional Medical Center's Emergency Room for treatment of injuries received during the robbery.

This case is still under investigation by the Troy Police Department.
