Assault 1st Degree Arrest

Troy police arrested Dianne P. Hood Sunday evening at approximately 8:00 pm for assault first degree according to information released by Chief Jimmy Ennis.

Hood, a 37-years-old black female from Troy was arrested in connection with the stabbing assault of a 52-year-old black male on the 100 block of Minchner Street in Troy. She was arrested at the Minchner Street residence Sunday.

Police advised that the victim and Hood were involved in an earlier altercation Sunday at . Hood reportedly left the residence and returned and stabbed the victim in the chest. The victim was transported to Troy Regional Medical Center's Emergency Room and was later airlifted to Baptist South Hospital in Montgomery. He is in stable but serious condition.

Hood has been charged with assault first degree and her bond set at $50,000.00 in this case. She was transported to the Pike County Jail Sunday.

This case is still under investigation by TPD.
