Troy Police are currently investigating several car burglaries that occurred over night according to information released by Chief Jimmy Ennis.
Person or persons unknown burglarized six vehicles at three residences and stole property from them.
Two residences were located in Pinewood Estates and one residence was located in the Crowe Hill Subdivision. The auto burglaries were discovered between 6:00 and 7:00 AM Thursday. It is believed the incidents occurred in the late hours of Wednesday or the early morning hours on Thursday. Two vehicles at two of the residences had windows busted out and the other vehicles were unlocked.
Property stolen from the vehicles include: a purse with credit cards, other personal property, identification cards, lap top computer, camera with accessories, I-pod, toys, cash, ring, GPS and GPS stand.
Troy Chief of Police Jimmy Ennis asks everyone to make sure their vehicle doors are locked, not leave property on vehicle seats (or in plain view) and to secure property in the trunk of the vehicle or the residence. Write down the serial numbers of your property and put them in a safe place. If you are alerted to any type of suspicious circumstance(s), call the police immediately.
Anyone with information in connection with these automobile burglaries is urged to call the Troy Police Department at 566-0500 or the Secret Witness Line at 566-5555.
