Robbery 1st Degree Arrest

Troy Police arrested 26-year-old Jermaine Antoine Adams a black male from Troy for robbery first degree Friday at approximately 1:00 pm according to information released by Chief Jimmy Ennis.
Adams was arrested in connection with the Wednesday (10/5) night robbery of a 19-year-old victim on US Highway 231 at 9:00 p.m. He was taken into custody and transported to the Troy Police Department.
Adams got into the victim's vehicle at the movie theatre on US 231 and asked him to take to the BP station near the intersection of Murphree St. and US 231. The suspect pulled a knife on the victim and demanded money from him during the robbery. An undisclosed amount of money was taken from the victim during the robbery. Adams left walking towards the Motel 6 parking lot.
TPD detectives obtained a warrant for Adams arrest Friday morning and later arrested him at a residence in Sunset Mountain Mobile Home Park without incident.
Adams bond was set at $30,000.00 and he has been transferred to the Pike County Jail.
This case remains under investigation by the Troy Police Department.
